Wrap Up and final remarks

In the following three sessions we want to address heterogeneity from different viewpoints:

1)      What is heterogeneity? Commonalities and European Diversity with the special theme of Colours of the Landscape (March 31st, morning)
Organised by COST ENeL Task Group Lexical Variation
Organising Team: Chris Mulhall (IE), Geoffrey Williams (FR), Amelie Dorn (AT)

Objectives:
In this session we will focus on the topic of lexical variation in phraseology and its relationship and role in the Digital Humanities. Heterogeneity is seen as a wealth that requiree management so as to valorise crosscultural variation. To set a context for discussion, we propose a working title for the meeting as: Lexis and the Landscape: Colours and Collocability, Variation and the View. Consequently all presentations are expected to link to this theme so as to explore means of managing and valorising lexical variation in dictionaries.

2)      How can we address heterogeneity technically? (March 31st afternoon)
Joint session:
Working Group 2: Retrodigitized dictionaries
Working Group 4: Lexicography and Lexicology from a PanEuropean Perspective
Organising Team: Alexander O’Connor (IE), Laurent Romary (DE), Jack Bowers (AT), Toma Tasovac (RS)

3)      How can we address heterogeneity socially? (April 1st, morning)
Organised by COST ENeL Task Group Digital Humanities and
co-organised by *DARIAH-Working Group on SI (Social Innovation)
Organising Team: Eveline Wandl-Vogt (AT), Anne Dykstra (NL)

In this session we brainstorm over Citizen Science in the fields of Digital Lexicography against the background of social changes in the digital society. The aim of this session is to get towards an overview on visions, uncertainties, existing practices of Citizen Science and explore and exploit them for Innovative Digital Lexicography.
