ENeL WG2 “Retro-digitized Dictionaries” is happy to announce an expert workshop “Toward Best Practice Guidelines for Encoding Legacy Dictionaries” to be held at the Preußische Staatsbibliothek (Prussian State Library), Unter den Linden 8, 10117 Berlin, from November 17-19, 2016.
The event will be organized in conjunction with the DARIAH-EU (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) and PARTHENOS (a H2020-funded project “Pooling Activities, Resources and Tools for Heritage e-Research Networking Optimization and Synergies”).
The goal of this by-invitation-only event will be to bring together leading European experts who work on legacy dictionaries in the digital realm in order to discuss best-practice guidelines for encoding lexical resources.
The development of such guidelines is one of the central goals and expected deliverables of the ENeL WG2.
In addition, the workshop will be used as a springboard for discussing new initiatives in the fields of standardization, lexical data modeling, data management and research infrastructures.
